A Bit of Guidance

BACK to FORM

You are now making specific final arrangements plans. If this is your first session, there are probably many things on the form that you are not sure of at this moment. Don't worry, this is not easy to do even in a final arrangements preplanning situation like you are in now.

ALWAYS REMEMBER!
YOU YOU CAN CREATE, LEAVE, COME BACK, REDO AND PRINT YOUR FINAL ARRANGEMENTS RESULTS AS OFTEN AS YOU WISH.  THIS IS YOUR FINAL ARRANGEMENTS PLAN TO HELP YOUR FAMILY. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO IT UNTIL YOU FEEL IT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT.

As we say on our home page "Creating a final arrangements plan starts with the understanding, not the money spending." We do mean that.

This is precisely why we created these final arrangements planning forms. There are more than 100 plus decisions that have to be made in just a few hours of person's death that relate to what will and must be done. They are not only emotionally draining but financially trying as well.

Imagine what your family would be going through if they had to do this in the few hours after losing you. It is as The Reader's Digest says on our Home Page:

"Few consumers would ordinarily admit to spending $5,000 or more on something that they knew little or nothing about. Yet everyday thousands of Americans do just that when a family member dies. On short notice, with their judgment often clouded by grief or guilt, they turn to the nearest funeral director to tell them what to do."

".....While few people are comfortable about discussing funerals in advance, it is really a very poor idea to decide on arrangements under the pressure of time and emotional stress."
THE CONSUMER'S ADVISER 1989
(pages 325-326)

What you do here will be so much appreciated by your family. You are showing true affection and care because you will be saving them that grief, guilt, confusion and doubt everyone faces when sitting at the funeral home trying to think what their loved one would want and expect from them. Not to mention the costs involved.

To best use these final arrangements planning forms. Do the following before making your decision if you are unsure.
